Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT CAN I EXPECT IN MY FIRST SESSION?
In our first session, I go over consent forms, practice policies, limits of confidentiality. I will conduct an assessment to better understand you and your goals.
HOW MANY SESSIONS OF THERAPY DO I NEED?
Every client's situation is unique. The average amount of sessions I see clients to see change is between 4-12 sessions. Depending on your situation, you make want short-term therapy to resolve a specific difficulty or you may have chronic (long-term) symptoms in which you may choose to have support long-term.

I recommend all my clients to commit to 4 sessions to figure out if psychotherapy and/or our therapeutic relationship is a good fit for you. In the first few sessions, we are engaging in assessment, learning about the issue, building our therapeutic relationship (trust and safety). By session 4-6, I aim to be digger a bit deeper into the issue and doing "work." By then, you should know if my style fits your needs.
